Basic, quick biscuits that work well as a side to most things, especially soup.


  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup shortening or butter
  • 1 cup milk

Cook Time: 12 minutes

Yield: 12 biscuits


  1. Mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in shortening. It should resemble coarse crumbs. Add milk and stir until well mixed. Drop onto a cookie sheet.
  2. Bake 12-15 minutes at 450°F.
